CAN’T FIND MY HOME
Written in April 2005
My life’s a ripple on the sands of time
My voice may echo but it cannot rhyme
I watch the sun sinking in the west
Wonder how to be the best
Oh I long to taste the gold
But I can’t seem to fit the mold
Can’t find my home
There is a pristine lake surrounded by high mountain walls
Dare not climb or you may fall
I see a duckling returning to it’s flock
Wonder how to scale the rock
Oh I long to reach the top
But I can’t overcome the drop
Can’t find my home
Carried
By the silver wings of destiny
Society
I’d rather fly
I’d rather fly
Fly
My life’s a ripple on the sands of time
My voice may echo but it cannot rhyme
I see a mountain, encircled in a shroud
Wonder how to touch the cloud
Oh I long to taste the sun
But I don’t think that I’m the one
Can’t find my home
Can’t find my home
Can’t find my home
