REMEMBERING

Feel the wind sweep away
Endless words, endless days
I’m still looking for an answer
I’ve felt that fear within my chest
Held your head against my breast
Somehow I still lost you
Now I’m staring at a screen
Reminding me that you had turned nineteen
I forgot to call
As if I hadn’t spent all day… remembering

Now the spiral’s growing tighter
